Everything you participate in is based off a written or non-written philosophy. A philosophy is what you operate by. Practically speaking, it acts as a guide or a compass that determines the direction and decisions you are going to make. In other words, it is your mission statement, your motto, or your goal in life. Your philosophy answers the questions, Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?
With that being said, I would like to clearly lay out my biblical philosophy of why I blog:
1) To Glorify God -1 Corinthians 10:31, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” Because I’m a born again Christian it is my up-most desire to exalt my Lord and Savior. I want to bring praise, honor, and glory to His name because I have been bought with a price and my life is no longer mine to live. Therefore, I dedicate this blog to God Almighty and I will be striving to use my talents, gifts, and opportunities to magnify God in this world and not myself.
2) To Rightly Divide the Word of Truth – 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” It is my responsibility to accurately (“…rightly divide…”) study and proclaim the Word of God to others. Because I have the freedom to publish on the World Wide Web I want God’s Word to have the preeminence. I have nothing good to say or publish apart from God’s Word. Furthermore, I have been commissioned by the Lord to tell others about the Truth of the Gospel (Matt. 28:19-20). It is my responsibility and desire to use this blog to stand on the authority of Scripture (2 Tim. 3:19-17).
3) To Edify Other Christians – Ephesians 4:29, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” As a Christian I also want to spend much of my time and energy encouraging other believers to walk humbly and passionately with God. It is my conviction that I use this blog (website) and other social networking sites to exhort other Christians to live for God today!
4) To Equip the Saints – Ephesians 4:12, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”As a Pastor it is my God-given responsibility to give tools, from Scripture, to help other believers take their next step spiritually. I pray that this blog will be a tool that prepares Christians around the world to effectively serve God. I pray that this will be a place where Christians can receive biblical answers to their questions. There is nothing better than having Christians who are biblically prepared to live life.
